  • Listed will be updated once a week with a caveat that I might need to adjust depending on AD. As for which day of the week, we will try to stick with Thursdays. I will be adding a milestone ticker at the footer of the blog which will be adjusted according to when to expect the upcoming update.

  • Please note you do not need a WordPress account to comment on the blog. Just post a comment, and include your name or Twitter handle so I know who you are. Also there are times, not sure why, when comments fall into moderation for me to approve. So know they haven’t disappeared.

Lastly, read to your heart’s content, but let’s keep it at just that. Absolutely NO copying, NO reposting any of the content from this blog elsewhere. Do NOT claim this as your work as it clearly isn’t.

Time to open up Listed!

  1. Omg!!! I’m late!

Wow, you’re back with ‘Listed’! Before reading further, I was obviously trying to read the banner first to get my grey cells fired up.. and let me mention that I thought Arnav was the photographer who would perhaps find his muse in Khushi but who am I kidding? That would have been a cliché and so not your style. 😋

NYC and photography – super excited! Oh man, there’s something about that city .. or maybe it’s just memories…. actually, no… It’s the city! ❤️

I’m delighted and too impatient to read ahead but then if time flies so soon, what happens to the existing deadlines? Damn you, catch 22! 🙈

  7. I’m kinda late to the party, but I hope I’m not too late.
I remember seeing that you’ll start a new story and I bookmarked it to get to it as soon as I can but I kept getting distracted by the many things AD makes us do.
The intro is pretty intriguing and I am all in to join the ride. I’m happy I’m here to read one of your stories before it’s gone.

  8. I’m a complete dumbo with respect to ‘how to use/go around WordPress’. I came to see your new story, “Listed” just now, even after commenting on you opening all your works. But better late than never.
I have to warn you that I will be one of your worst readers regarding catching up and commenting because of my hectic reality. But I still beg you to join me in your journey. I will catch up somehow.
All the best dear. You bring joy to a lot of people through your work.

  11. Hi Jigs,

I know I am very late to the party and I am extremely grateful to my lucky stars (and Googleji 😉 )for guiding me to Jigs’ Arshiland. This past week has been a fascinating discovery of some of the most exquisite gems in the Arshi Fiction Hall of Fame. Stripped, Temptation, TT and Entangled….. Uff, what a potpourri of emotions.

Thank you, Jigs, for welcoming the occasional straggler such as me with open arms. Every story of yours roused a deluge of feelings. Khushi’s existential pang of not belonging anywhere, which I feel is one the most horrid feelings, heartrendingly stark in Temptation. Her aversion to motherhood and the lingering doubts stemming from a childhood starved of her mother’s love and attention. Seriously, the feels…. I hugged my children tighter that night. ❤ Khushi’s pain and insecurities as a result of her hurtful past with Sameer, so very palpable in Stripped. In Entangled, a woman who has no qualms claiming her love and rajkumar with brazen confidence (bordering on emotional manipulation 😉 A Lady ASR if you may) because that is what they both want and is exactly what her Bauji wished for. I love the Khushi of every story. ASR’s equal in every way. A feisty go-getter with indomitable tenacity, zealously ambitious and certainly not the princess in dire need of a rescue from a dark knight. Rather a person who struggles with her personal hindrances and fears while leaving no stone unturned to overcome her demons. (Well, a few stealthy kisses, passionate make-out sessions and stolen love-making spells from a certain Akhdoo/Rakshas/Angrez do help along the way 😛 )
Not to mention the other kickass ladies … Nani, Dadi, Anjali, Inaaya, Tara….
And nothing I say about your male lead is going to be enough. Ultra suave, astute businessman, exuding sheer confidence and shrewdness – His Lordship the ASR and a complete goner for Khushi, overprotective, overpossessive, immensely proud of her, can’t stop gushing about her, his reason to take the next breath – Arnav. Love him dammit!!
The striking commonalities in all the stories – the intensity of their relationship, the way the world ceases to exist for them when they come together and Arnav’s steadfastness in his pursuit of his Khushi.

BTW, I just freaking love the writer when her words impel me to scour the hidden nooks and crevices of the thesaurus. Thank you for enriching my vocabulary so…. Particularly in Temptation and TT. Loved the plot twists in all the stories. Sameer’s reentry into Khushi’s life, Mr Singhania’s identity in TT (although kinda foreshadowed, it was a lovely anagnorisis – see the result of browsing the thesaurus thanks to you;-) ) and the discovery of ASR’s roots following the non-linear narrative in Entangled.

And last but not the least, for me, having visited most of the settings – Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, more than once and having lived in both the Big Apple and the Home of the Big Ben, reading your stories was like taking a wonderful trip down the memory lane. It was a pleasure revisiting the mesmerizing landmarks of these cities. The mahal description in Entangled reminded me of Umaid Bhavan or the Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur or the Golden Qilla of Jaisalmer at night.
Pizza-by-slice from Brooklyn and macaroons from Ladurée…I am salivating while typing this….

2020 has pretty much sucked. However, I am looking forward to 2021 and celebrating a decade of insanity and obsession with Arshi. I just realized … has my love letter been too long? But then being succinct with articulation has never been my forte. And I am always unapologetically myself. So long’s how it’s going to be 😛

I am moving on to savouring Listed and finally would be following an on-going story of yours. I promise to drop in regularly, just to say hi. AD is a bitch these days, but I owe it to your story-telling prowess. ( I mean if both you and Khushi can perfectly balance work, being a mom, travel, guests etc etc… so can I). So, see you soon.

PS take care and stay safe.

  12. Hey Jignasha!!

I am back finally and this time I am going to stock around. Though it might take time for me to catch up with the latest updates. But for sure, I will come up to speed.

Can’t wait to restart this journey all over again.

    Lots of Love… 😊😊
